Research Calculates Uranium Mining Hazards

The National Academy of Science has released a report regarding the mining of uranium in Virginia that is expected to guide the General Assembly when it determines whether to lift the existing 30-year uranium mining ban.  Delegate Ware says that lifting the moratorium would not be an endorsement of uranium mining, but rather would allow more time for additional scrutiny.  Click here to read more.
